INFERNO 05:02
Asgaard! The fall of the stars Sing the hymns Septem Peccatis Mortis The psalms of the exalted The seven judges Setting free damnation Spit on us atop the peaks of Sinai Septem Virtutibus Vitae The collapse of liberation Scourge the earth Purify with thy words of malice Hatred in the chambers of perverted gratification Sip from the chalice Blood of thy blood Body and blood of thine Taste the nectar of depravity Drunk on the wine of divinity The stares of the righteous cult Upon their thrones of tyrants I see through thy piteous eyes For I have tasted the blood And I have seen thy collection of souls They are corrupted one despoiled all Bow to me Victims of the flesh, perversions immaculate Septem Peccatis Mortis Blindness they follow The blood of martyrs Rivers of regret Feed unto them the spirits of the exalted Their penance discarded Now and forevermore.

ENVY 06:22
If I could foresee, bend space and time, manifest reality to resemble a lie. Could truth be found, could the world learn to see what I've foreseen. Or am I a living contradiction? Two worlds opposed. Teetering on the edge, tearing apart the soul. Our words will be a lie, Forever. Our dreams will always die, Forever. Memories fade away, Forever. Time slips by through the eyes of the blind. The one who sees beyond the realms of sight. Immortality is torn between what is true and what is right. One cannot choose what is real unless they possess the ability to see through the illusion of self. The realm of dreams, tearing wisdom from reality. Thoughts are a weapon bleeding from the mind. Possessing the body, ending the waves of time. Our words will be a lie, Forever. Our dreams will always die, Forever.

GLUTTONY 04:07
Cease! For the Lord says so Eagerness The Lord will judge Forgive me god for my exuberance confused my hunger with desire to eat Cursed my family for the bread we have For little we get, must be grateful to thee Feed for your life Temperance is to die Scorn natures gifts Squander all the colour Alacrity in the heart Decadence marks your face Thinner every day in a favela hell Stomach my body, pushing its way out of the mouth Abstain from eating like a gourmand pig He is watching and will strike me down to the flame Feed us your lies Tell us we're lucky When you've never known what it's like to go hungry Until we tear you from life for your crimes make you pay Cerberus is coming.

LUST 04:38
I, the rock the one who waits take the yearn forget the demise I beg of you to ease my pain out of the shadows the spies retreat It is written don't question it Blinded by lust soul to the squall Have you ever been alone? Lived in a world a faceless world it turns you into dust End this now! This perennial thought Don't ask for hell He sees everything Pull me into the whirlwind For the passions torture me Never give me rest At least I have lived! You condemn me blames of treason a blasphemy to be human Revenant roads is all I see You tell me too you think the same Why is it you, Ignorant one If you leave me be It's my true requiem.

GREED 06:20
And meanwhile the academics are clamouring Undecided on which ego they should be favouring They forget which one is which amongst their drowning in abstraction Suffocating behind the walls of their own misguided creation And the tide thickens with every passing thought Every memory Pain and pleasure crashing spraying their reminiscence On the brink of insanity I almost understand Is this life worth all the misery Can't deny greed A failed system dictates our beliefs feeds us insatiable greed This world of broken dreams Misguided ideologies confused with absolute truths; there are none While society is constrained in capitalism they have forgotten what it's like to be alive As if this world was just a dream, distorted and constricted, and I cannot wake up. And the tide thickens with every passing thought Every memory Pain and pleasure crashing spraying their reminiscence On the brink of insanity I almost understand utilitarianism Simplicity is tempting Beside the ever-changing world of complexity If I've learnt anything in this life It's temptation over-growing sense of self Creating the human in me Forsaking my humanity Is this life worth all the misery can't deny greed.

PRIDE 07:52
From the ashes I arise and from the splintered stems of the earth I return With knowledge through struggle Triumphant through suffering The hierarchy of hypocrites and harlots Feeding the starving their lies Forever holding onto nothing Desires and dreams of the heart An empty well to thy idol A fountain of opportunity for thy enemy Up on the cross I had the most euphoric illusions of grandeur Visions one cannot express through pathetic systems of language Witness a splinter as it festers into a terminal wound Oh Rise! Thou that cursed me as lightning fell from heavens let the children believe Thy destroyer of nations! When rotten is the fruit of thy seed Recruiting the weak to indoctrinate the congregation of sheep Is this thy divine justice? O, compassionate one? The pages of disillusion Corrupt the foundations of humanity Up on the cross I had the most euphoric illusions of grandeur Visions one cannot express through pathetic systems of language For I see through humanity the blood outweighs the soil Witness a splinter as it festers into a terminal wound The insects swarm to feed on the carcass of their God Discarded shrines littered with bones The alter collapsed The pews empty Paint the picture Alone My greatest sin is echoed in the mirror Hung on the walls In-between my fingers Locked behind the flesh bone and blood yet radiating out with a silent aura The deceit is blasphemy when the pride of thy holiness is rape and treachery such is thy legacy.

WRATH 04:38
The dirt of Eden continues to stain the earth The filth clogs the roots Bleeding disease Contaminating the veins of existence Trapped in the bars of the earth The cosmic prison until death This useless body, decaying wreck Ruins of the past Emerge from the ashes transcend over conscious being Unto the realm of the unseeing Crucify me Bloodline of Abraham Descendant of decadence Fill the mountains With the corpses of the righteous The pathetic and indulgent Feed this plague From Torah to revelations Maggots to leeches Preach the words of wrath And oppress truth and justice Condemn me for being created human "Now, therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who hath known a man by lying with him But all the women and children, who have not known a man by lying with him, spare for yourselves." Numbers 31:17-18.

SLOTH 07:12
The essence of history is just a void and our thoughts are a funeral shroud We bow and spit in reverence upon the shards and dust and flesh of memory Tragedy dressed in rouge and paint Rewritten in blasphemy and parody Yet the corpses consume Without regard, without reason, or justice And there's nothing left for even the parasites to feed on There are displays of despair in everyday It's getting harder to find white in a landscape of grey and filth, gutters and decay Childhood and naivety is an ancient memory One unimaginable to process And even if we could synthesise wonder, joy, it would always be a dream We eventually have to wake up smell the roses that have withered, rotten and blackened over centuries of neglect There was a time when it almost made sense The cogs and chains linked and people would whisper of love on their deathbeds There was inclusivity or so they believed The air was alive in creation And all could breathe without the despair of our lungs shrivelling and blackening It's as if their lives weren't the trail of smoke from the discarded end of a cigarette that rests in a gutter beneath our feet Because now no-one cares what we say on our deathbeds because that would imply that someone would be there.

There are people that don't understand this and never will I have to live with the fact that the path I walk is the one of the judged Accepting my place as one of the condemned Society hates those Who are true to themselves those who flirt with their own darkness and are one with their demons but they don't hear the turmoil of the ocean nor the cries of nature only concerned with numbers and profit They think art is only painting and even then the colours are too much Would they think differently if they knew the paint was mixed with tears? And the red wasn't paint at all It's hard to believe they would who cares about the one who sits on the side? The outcast who questions and screams the system is wrong I will not be a martyr for your fucking agenda I will not be a parable A stereotype or an archetype To feed someone else’s idea Diminishing human complexity In servitude to a false ideology I am not the pinnacle of one of thy pillars of the faith I am human Which is to be flawed I am the seven They are within me From birth to death Pain and joy Love and hate And the myriads in-between If I am a martyr, it is so I can be resurrected and it is in this alone I shall be remembered.

about

This album is an investigation of the human psyche, contrasted with the idea of the 'The Seven Deadly Sins'.

When one engaging in these 'sins', are they mortally wounding their soul, their character, or are they following their human nature? Should these be embraced as part of oneself or discarded?

These are some of the ideas that drive this deep-dive into humanity, and thus, the 'Pillars of the Faith'.
